New Inca Son’s mission is to preserve their indigenous heritage while instilling an understanding and appreciation of it to all who encounter them. Come celebrate a week of school residencies with an outdoor concert by this incredible group!

New Inca Son's residency with BarnArts is funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, which is made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program and the six New England state arts agencies.

BarnArts Global Music Residency program brings international artists into local K-12 schools to lead workshops and perform each spring and fall, providing students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with a global musician. Each residency culminates in a public concert, and all students engaged with during the residency get a free ticket!

This program began in spring 2022 and stems from our belief in the power of positive intercultural connections as a means to build cultural literacy. We welcome local educators as well as international musicians interested in working with us on this unique program to contact us about future residencies.
