Music Program Manager
Location: A combination of flexible/remote and on site work in Barnard, VT and surrounding area.
Job Dates: Year-round starting April 1, 2023
Hours: 10-15 hr a week, with some ebb and flow weekly and seasonally. Must be available in person Thursdays from 4-9pm late May thru September to coordinate Feast & Field Music Series.
BarnArts part-time Music Program Manager actively coordinates primary aspects of BarnArts music programming: Feast & Field Music Series, biannual Global Music Residency, and Artist Workshops for schools and community in conjunction with BarnArts performances. Most programming is complete for 2023, but responsibilities will include regularly researching and scheduling artists. The Music Program Manager reports to the Executive Director and coordinates with other staff and event teams to support programming and events across the organization.

Summer Youth Theater Choreographer – NEWSIES
Location: Barnard, Vermont for 3-week M-F day camp plus performance weekend
Job Dates: July 17-Aug 6, plus approx 3 planning/wrap-up meetings
Hours: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm M-F for 3 weeks of camp time, plus some meetings after camp and performance weekend
BarnArts Center for the Arts is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Summer Youth Theater Choreographer to work directly with our Summer Youth Theater team and our 30 kid performers ages 8-18 for this year’s show Newsies! Join our team and gain valuable experience teaching dance to kids and being part of our production team. Be part of a small nonprofit arts organization in a rural community!
SYT Choreographer will work directly with SYT Director, Music Director & Artistic Director to lead our production team and support our kids.

Stage Manager Arcadia by Tom Stoppard
Location: All performances will be in Barnard, Vermont in an outdoor location. Rehearsals will be indoors until weather permits outdoor rehearsing on site.
Job Dates: late April thru June, 2023; Performance dates June 16-18, 23-25
Hours: 3-4 rehearsals weekly (evenings & weekends), plus tech week and performance weekend and production meetings
A stage manager is responsible for the overall organization of a theatrical production. The job requires keeping actors and production team on task, managing meetings and rehearsals, and remaining calm and level-headed throughout the process. Each member of the production team is a valuable part of this process and is expected to support each other and to aid in setting the tone for the cast and crew. Assistants: Back Stage/Costume/Tech Helpers
Assist Director, Assist Stage Manager and Assistant Designers help prepare everything before the production, including costumes, props, scenery, lighting and sound. Work with Stage Manager or Designers during the performances.
Required Experience: Experience is appreciated but not required. We have had great success with anyone who loves theater and wants to be part of our community!
