Matilda is just your average kid…wielding super smarts and psychokinetic powers. Her dull and conniving parents refuse to see her greatness, but her teacher Miss Honey notices immediately. Matilda’s bravery and wit inspires courage in her classmates to change their world under the reign of Miss Trunchbull, the terrifying principal (definitely not your “pal”). Only 30 youth will get the opportunity to bring the magic of Matilda to life this summer with BarnArts!

During BarnArts 3-week SYT camp, youth will take on characters, learn songs and dancing, and prepare for the full-scale production to be held at the Barnard Town Hall with original staging, costuming, choreography and a live band! Our team of theater professionals will teach, guide, and inspire your kids. Daily schedule includes a mid-morning snack and a long break for lunch, supervised outdoors at the Barnard Academy.
